At Zmartests, our mission is to make technical skills assessment accessible to organizations of all sectors and sizes, through the use of innovative technologies. Johanne Dumas, founder of Zmartests, has been carrying out this mission for almost a decade.

Active in the HR software industry for over 20 years, Johanne has been part of several Canadian companies’ talent acquisition optimization projects. In this role, she identified the need for a multilingual technical skills assessment solution, and looked for a modern platform to assess Microsoft Office skills, with life-like simulations. In vain.

Driven by her entrepreneurial spirit, it is in 2017 that she launched Zmartests, an immersive Microsoft Office skills assessment platform, with great success. To ensure that the solution would stand the test of time, however, it was essential for Johanne to build it on scientific rigor that offered valid and justifiable benchmarks.

First addressing the needs of Quebec’s healthcare network, the platform’s ease of use and reliability have won over a growing number of organizations looking to simplify their hiring process. Today, Zmartests has conducted over 500,000 assessments and compiled 10 million exercises, in more than thirty different sectors of activity. The company is the leading provider of assessments in the French-speaking Canadian market.
